There are more than 10,000 species of Ant around the world

there is difference between Ants and Termites Ants have a narrow waist between abdomen and thorax which Termites do not have

Ants very social insects, they live in nests as a structured communities.

The nests may be located underground or in trees. 

Some species such as (Army ants) don't have permanent homes, instead they still seeking out food for their enormous colonies during migration.

Ants are headed by a queen whose only function in life is to lay of thousands of eggs that will ensure the survival of the colony

Ants that we typically see are wingless females the are called (worker ants) they never reproduce, their jobs are : forage for food, care for queen's offspring and work in nests

the male ants' role is only reproducing with the queen then they may die

ants communicate by using chemicals, they use certain chemicals to tell where is food or danger

Ants eat nectar, fungus, seed or insects.

Some species such as Army ants eat also birds, reptiles or even small mammals.
